Social media users can’t stop raving about the spectacular opening ceremony of Pakistan Super League 2022. The T20 tournament kicked off in Karachi on Thursday and was an electrifying event at the National Stadium.

The ceremony began with a Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy documentary on the journey of cricket in Pakistan. Next came a thrilling skydiving stunt by three parachutists. They descended from the skies with the ball that was to be used in the first match.

Spectators got to enjoy Prime Minister Imran Khan’s opening video and a live performance of PSL anthem ‘Agay Dekh’ by pop sensations Atif Aslam and Aima Baig.

The ceremony came to an end with a magnificent fireworks display.

Cricket enthusiasts loved the curtain raiser for the seventh chapter of the tournament.

One user says she was left speechless by the parachute stunt.

The National Stadium which was glowing green evoked feelings of patriotism in some viewers.

Many loved the performance by singers Aslam and Baig.

The fireworks display was also praised by the Twitterati.

But some thought that the opening ceremony was too short but as they say all good things must come to an end.
