Four lawmakers of Balochistan Assembly, who were said to be missing since Wednesday as they were not present at the assembly when a no-confidence motion tabled against Chief Minister Jam Kamal, said on Friday that they were in Islamabad and would return to Quetta on Saturday (today).

Former provincial minister and disgruntled MPA Zahoor Buledi shared a video message in which the four MPAs, Akbar Askani, Bushra Rind, Mahjabeen Sheran and Liala Tareen, who belonged to the ruling Balochistan Awami Party said they were in the federal capital for different reasons.

They further said they supported the Balochistan Assembly Speaker Quddos Bizenjo's group and would join the others in Quetta soon.

Buledi, who is also a member of the BAP, welcomed the MPAs back, saying they "have stood with us and will remain standing till the end".

Commenting on the return of MPAs, a social media user said: "The one & only “missing” persons of Balochistan who resurfaced without anyone protesting for them in front of press club or roads. I wish every family of missing Balochs become this lucky & they don’t have to go through so much pain & protests for release of their loved ones."

Earlier on Friday, the assembly members submitted applications in Balochistan High Court and Balochistan Inspector General police for safe recovery of the missing MPAs. They said the chief minister arrested them and they were kept in unlawful detention.

The applications referred to the vote of no-confidence against Kamal, saying authorities should issue orders that the MPAs would be able to exercize their right on October 25 without any fear and curbs.
