MULTAN: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that the government enjoys ideal relations with all the state institutions.

Addressing meeting in Multan, he said there is no threat to the incumbent PTI government from the lame opposition and it will complete its constitutional term. "Opposition's desire to end the government cannot be fulfilled,” he added.

Commenting on economy, he said the inflation is a big challenge for the government. However, the government is trying its best to minimize the burden on masses.

The Foreign Minister said that Coronavirus affected the international economy as a whole and that is why the rise in oil prices in the world market forced the government to increase the prices of petroleum products within the country.

Speaking about situation in Afghanistan, Qureshi said Pakistan wants peace and stability in the neighbouring country as it is imperative for regional peace.

He reiterated that Pakistan would continue its reconciliatory efforts for establishment of peace in the region.

The Foreign Minister said some forces wish to destabilize Afghanistan, but they should not be let to succeed.

“Pakistan has informed the international community about such anti-peace forces and we will continue conciliatory efforts for peace in the region,” he added.

He said establishing peace in Afghanistan is also essential for development and prosperity of the region.
