The reports of former Test captain turned famous cricket commentator Ramiz Raja to become the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has been circulating.

According to media reports current PCB chairman Ehsan Mani and Ramiz Raja called on Prime Minister Imran Khan today.

Ramiz Raja himself has not come up with any official statement regarding all these speculations.

As per the report, Prime Minister Imran Khan, who's also the Patron-in-chief of the board, has decided not to extend the tenure of Ehsan Mani, whose term as PCB chief is due to end on August 25.

As per rules, PM Imran Khan will send two names for the post of the PCB chairman to the governing board.

The source also revealed that one of the names among these two candidates is of Ramiz Raja.

However, many Pakistan cricket team fans on Twitter have expressed disappointment over Ramiz Raja's appointment as the next PCB chief.

Meanwhile, acknowledging the selection, Twitter also gives a great welcome to Raja as the new PCB Chairman.
