LHC orders lower judiciary judges to abstain from using social media
LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has ordered the judges of the lower judiciary of Punjab to abstain from using social media.
The court also ordered the judges of the district judiciary to leave all non-governmental WhatsApp groups.
The Lahore High Court also hinted at disciplinary action against the judges who did not comply with the orders.
After the approval of Chief Justice Amir Bhatti of the Lahore High Court, a letter was sent to the judges of the district judiciary, asking them to leave all the non-governmental WhatsApp groups.
Judicial officers should limit their social life and district court judges should use only official WhatsApp groups, the LHC letter said.
