Covid-19: 1,228 cases, 29 more deaths reported in country during last 24 hours

As the Coronavirus cases are declining and situation of the pandemic is gradually improving in the country, 29 more deaths due to the pandemic have been reported during the last twenty-four hours in the country.

According to the National Command and Operation Centre, 47832 tests were conducted while 1228 people tested COVID positive. Total active Covid cases in Pakistan are 32621.

Punjab was the worst affected by the corona virus, where the number of corona patients rose to 346,728, while 339,962 people fell victim to corona in Sindh.

In addition, 138,421 cases of corona virus have been reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 82,916 in Islamabad, 27,387 in Balochistan, 6,294 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 20,505 in Azad Kashmir.

During the last 24 hours, 14 deaths due to Covid-19 were reported in Sindh, followed by six in Punjab and four in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Corona has so far recorded the highest number of deaths in Punjab, where 10,772 people lost their lives.

Besides, 5512 deaths were reported in Sindh, 4336 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 779 in Islamabad, 312 in Balochistan, 111 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 586 in Azad Kashmir due to corona.

According to the National Command and Operations Center, 32,621 patients affected by Corona are being treated in various hospitals across the country, out of which 1,875 patients are said to be in critical condition. The rate of positive cases was recorded at 2.72% across the country.

897 people have recovered from Coronavirus in one day, after which 907,284 patients have so far defeated the Corona virus in Pakistan.

According to new figures released by the National Command and Operations Center, 47,832 corona tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, of which 1,228 people were diagnosed with corona.

A total of 1,473,030 people have been tested so far across the country.
