Former finance minister Hafeez Sheikh tests positive for COVID-19
Former finance minister Hafeez Sheikh has tested positive for COVID-19, revealed the newly appointed finance minister Hammad Azhar via Twitter on Tuesday.
Azhar, in a tweet, wished a speedy recovery to his predecessor:
"Just found out that Dr Hafeez Sheikh has tested positive for Covid-19. I pray for his swift recovery and good health. Ameen."
On Monday, President Arif Alvi and Defence Minister Pervez Khattak both announced that they have contracted the virus. President Alvi shared the news on Twitter:
